Steven Doan understands what it means to practice law in an ever-changing legal and social landscape. As a litigator and State Representative his practice is always on the leading edge of changes in the legal field. Steven has the unique ability to both argue regarding the interpretation of laws within a courtroom while being an advocate for reform within the legislature.
Steven is a native of Northern Kentucky and has deep roots in the community. He grew up in Erlanger where he still resides with his wife, Chelsea, and son, Westley. Steven serves on the Board of Directors for the Northern Kentucky Emergency Shelter, Northern Kentucky’s only low barrier homeless shelter. Steven also enjoys competing in ultra-marathons.
Steven focuses primarily on personal injury, family law, and real estate. He graduated from Salmon P. Chase College of Law in 2012, where he excelled as a member of the arbitration team focusing on trial practice and procedure. This prepared him for complex litigation in federal and state courts where he began his career defending police officers in civil rights cases.
Steven previously served as general counsel for the Governor’s Office of Agricultural Policy. In this role, he oversaw a multimillion-dollar grant fund and a revolving loan fund in excess of $80 million in addition to serving as the board attorney for the Kentucky Agricultural Finance Corporation and the Kentucky Agricultural Development Board. Steven understands the demands our current legal environment places on business owners thanks to his work with hundreds of businesses and entrepreneurs throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Upon leaving his role with the Commonwealth, Steven served as general counsel for one of Northern Kentucky’s largest residential real estate firms.
